Record a message for the special dances
One way to enhance the emotional impact of your special dances is to record a special message that can either precede the song or be mixed into the song during the instrumental segments. For the bride and groom first dance, if you both record messages separately and then have your MC mix them into your first dance song, it will not only make your dance more personalized a memorable, but it can also be a nice romantic surprise. You will both get to hear the other's words of affection for the very first time on the dance floor. This idea can also create an unforgettable memory for both the father/daughter and mother/son dances.
Invite Others to Join In your special dance songs
If you are truly uncomfortable sharing your entire first dance all by yourselves, invite your wedding party members to join in with you after a minute or so. During the father/daughter dance and/or the mother/son dance, your MC could invite any other fathers and daughters or mothers and sons to join you on the dance floor If the bride has both a father and a stepfather; and she has a close relationship with both of them, perhaps the MC could invite the stepfather to cut in halfway through the father/ daughter dance. During your wedding party dance, your MC could invite the rest of the guests to join in halfway through in an effort to lead into the open dancing. They could be invited up by staggered categories, such as immediate family, out-of-state guests, local guests, etc. Make sure your MC knows you want to invite others to join and knows the timing you would prefer for making such invitations.
